1Who we are

Capstone Data is a solar property intelligence company. We identify residential properties with solar already installed and sell that information as a dataset to contractors and service businesses whose customers are those homeowners.

There are two ways to buy from us. You can build a dataset yourself on our website, choosing the state and the attributes you want and paying for those. Or you can work with us directly on a market built to order. Both are covered by this policy.

2Information we collect

Information you give us

• Your email address when you check out, so we can send your file and your receipt.
• Your name, phone number and email if you book a call or submit a form.
• What you asked for: the state, filters and attributes you selected, and the quantity you ordered.

Information collected automatically

• Your IP address, browser and device type, and operating system.
• The pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and how you arrived.
• Cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 7.

3How we use it

• To build and deliver the dataset you ordered.
• To take payment and send you a receipt.
• To contact you about your order, including if something is wrong with it.
• To schedule and confirm calls you book with us.
• To understand how people find and use our website, so we can improve it.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations.
• To send marketing messages only if you have separately and explicitly opted in.

4Ordering and payment

When you buy from our website, we create an order record holding what you selected, the quantity, the price, your email address, and the status of the order. We keep this as our record of the sale and to support you afterwards.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's own checkout page, and Stripe handles and stores them under its own privacy policy and its PCI-DSS obligations. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the email address you used. We never see your full card number.

5SMS and mobile communications

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with subcontractors providing support services, such as customer service, is permitted. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.

When you book a call at book.capstoneanchor.com you may be offered an optional SMS consent checkbox. It is always optional, never pre-checked, and never required to book.

If you consent, you may receive booking confirmations, reminders and reschedule notices. Marketing messages are sent only if you select a separate marketing consent box. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6How we share your information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We do not share it with affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We share it only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers that we need in order to operate: our payment processor (Stripe), our website analytics provider (Google), our booking calendar system, our email and messaging providers, and our cloud hosting and database providers. They process data on our behalf and are obliged to protect it.
• Legal compliance, where we are required to disclose by law, court order, or a governmental authority.

7Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and to understand how it is used:

• Essential cookies — required for the site to work, including building and completing an order.
• Analytics cookies — used to understand how visitors find and use the site.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to measure website traffic. It sets cookies in your browser and collects your IP address, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, the source that referred you, and your device and browser type.

We use this to understand how people find and move through our site. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with the contact information you give us when you order or book a call. Google processes this data on our behalf and stores it on servers in the United States.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on every website by installing Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Disabling cookies may affect how the site works.

8Booking and calendar systems

We use a third-party booking calendar at book.capstoneanchor.com to schedule calls. When you book, your name, email, phone number and selected time are collected and stored in that system, and used only to confirm and manage your call.

9Data security

• TLS encryption on everything transmitted through our website.
• Access controls limiting who can view personal information.
• Card details never touch our systems; they are handled by our payment processor.
• Regular review of how we handle data.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. We work to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

10Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services and to meet our legal obligations. Order and payment records are kept as required for tax and accounting purposes. Appointment records are generally kept for 24 months.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time at operations@capstoneanchor.com.

11Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate.
• Request deletion of your information.
• Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.
• Opt out of marketing communications.
• Opt out of website analytics, as described in Section 7.

12Children's privacy

Our website and services are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us immediately.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use our website or services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
